hi my name is nina, and i've been feeling a little underwhelmed lately with being online. since starting out as a kid on orkut and living through the dark ages (my teen years) on tumblr, to now managing social media for brands as an adult, i've been online for a long time. i've been there from the inception of social media and watched it and our relationship with it change - both in good and bad ways - and somehow i'm still drawn to it.

i'm sure many other people on neocities and other indie web platforms feel similarly to me, but with this website i'm trying to find a way to regain the wonder i felt that drew me to convince my parents to let me join clubpenguin as a kid. for so long i've been feeling like a grumpy old lady reminiscing on the "good old days" of the internet when, in certain corners, it never went away.

hopefully here i can find the creative freedom i've been so desperately searching for in order to regain that childlike wonder for creating and learning something new i lost somewhere along the way, and maybe even make a few friends with strangers online while i'm at it.
